The C.D. Mote, Jr. Incentive Awards Program provides:


The cost of tuition, fees, room and board at the University of Maryland, College Park for four years,
or eight semesters, not to exceed financial need.

But it is more than a scholarship.

Select faculty and staff commit to a mentoring relationship throughout scholars' tenure.

A STRONG START


Summer Discovery eases students into university life prior to freshman year. It includes a three credit course, workshops, and community building programs to launch students into a successful tenure at the University of Maryland.

COMMUNITY MEETINGS


Monthly student meetings foster camaraderie and a supportive community.

OUTREACH


Scholars maintain strong ties to their home and school communities through high school visits and other outreach efforts.

SERVICE


Scholars are encouraged to identify and address the needs of their surrounding community through meaningful service projects.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT


Networking opportunities with community, business and educational leaders are embedded throughout the academic year and continue through graduation.
